The Wedding Day Vision
This Chateau Selah wedding was perfection! And I knew it would be from the first interaction with Courtney and Logan! We photographed Logan’s brother’s wedding last year, and that is where I first met these two! Courtney tagged along on the bridal session for that wedding, and she mentioned to me she just booked Chateau Selah for her March wedding! Fast forward a month or so, and they contacted me to photograph their wedding!! I was beyond excited!!
During our initial call, I knew this Chateau Selah wedding would be a dream! Courtney and Logan put an emphasis on how important photography was to them, and the pressure was on in the best way possible to deliver their dream wedding day gallery to them! What a gift to have a bride and groom who honor my job and trust me to help their vision come to life through photos!! They both had an incredible vision for their day, and it was all planned so beautifully.
Courtney + Logan
Courtney and Logan are the kindest people you will ever meet! They met each other in college and have now been together for four years. They both have an undeniable love for God, and it shows in how they interact with each other, as well as with their friends and families. Courtney and Logan are the epitome of thoughtful, joyful, loving, and sincerely caring friends. While this Chateau Selah wedding was absolutely stunning, what made the entire day was their love for one another, and their appreciation for everyone who has walked beside of them in all seasons of life.
Chateau Selah
Chateau Selah is one of my favorite venues in the Tri-Cities! Between the gorgeous Appalachian Mountain view, stunning chateau architecture, and beautiful pavilion with panoramic views, there is so much variety to offer for a wedding day. As a photographer who has photographed at this venue several times, it is beautiful all year round! I can’t even begin to explain how unreal the golden hour and sunset views are!! Courtney and Logan’s Chateau Selah wedding really showcases just how stunning this venue truly is.
Getting Ready + Bridal Portraits
One of my favorite moments of Courtney + Logan’s wedding day was taking their pre-ceremony and getting ready photos! When it was time to get Courtney into her dress, she wanted to include both her mom and Logan’s mom for this moment – how special is that?! Her friend, Kyleann, then put her shoes on. This was a special moment for both Courtney and Kyleann as these shoes honored their friend and cousin. Moments like this remind me just how important photography is. Now they both have a photo of them putting each other’s shoes on at their weddings.
After I photographed a few bridal portraits for Courtney in the bridal suite (some of my favorite images from the entire day), Steven and I went to check on Logan and the guys! The guys getting ready space is on the bottom level of the Chateau, and has an amazing masculine vibe. Logan’s mom, dad, and brother all helped him with the last little getting ready details of the day – boutonniere, jacket, and tie!
First Touch + Ceremony
Courtney and Logan opted to do a “first touch” instead of a first look! Since they wanted to first see each other as Courtney was walking down the aisle, this was a great alternative to spend time together and calm nerves before the ceremony! Once Logan saw his bride for the first time at the ceremony, he was so emotional! The entire ceremony was truly a joyful celebration of these two!
Golden Hour
If you are a sucker for some good golden hour photos, a Chateau Selah wedding is the place to be! The sunsets there just cannot be beat. Chateau Selah has an amazing open field where the sun begins to set, and then you can turn around once the sun has gone down a little to get an incredible mountain view!
A Dream Bride + Groom
If you can’t already tell, we absolutely love this sweet bride and groom! They are the type of people that make you feel like you belong to them, and that even includes their bridal party! I have never felt so welcomed and at ease on a wedding day before! They were up for anything! Talk about an overall dream client situation!!
